2.. WITHIN 7 days after inspection - report back to the full Executive, outlining results of inspection.
3..IF – No problems with the course or the playability of same, ratify that the Open will be held on the course.
4..IF – there appears to be any problems with the course being ready/suitable to stage the Open
5.THEN – obtain the services of at least one professionally qualified person to conduct a further inspection of the host Course, in company with at least three members of the Executive, together with representatives of the host club.
6..DURING the inspection, all persons present to outline any concerns / discuss whether areas of concern can be rectified in time to host the Open.
7..IF assurances are given that the course will be playable in time for the Open, conduct further inspections at monthly intervals with professionally qualified persons, to ensure that progress is being made to rectify all areas of concern.
8..IF – everything progresses as anticipated, then there should be no problems.
9..IF - in the opinion of the professional person/s inspecting the course, the course will not be up to a suitable standard to host the Open, then notify the club accordingly, then search for another club to host the Open.
10..GO through the same inspection procedures with the new host club.
6. NQGA TROPHY POINTS COMPETITION
NQGA TROPHY POINTS COMPETITION
GRAHAM ROBERTS TROPHY - ‘A’ Grade
MIKE MULLINS TROPHY – ‘A1’ GRADE
WAYNE HALLER TROPHY - ‘B’ Grade
JOHN MACLEAN TROPHY - ‘C’ Grade
The above three trophy events are conducted during each golfing season, and are open to members of the affiliated member clubs of the NQGA, with the best performed golfer for the calendar year being awarded the trophy for that particular grade. The winner of each of the four trophy events will receive an embroidered shirt signifying his achievement.
To qualify for these events, golfers must play in the published open events, (notated GR – MM - WH - or JM) as listed in the NQGA Schedule of Major Events.
In order to determine the winners of each of the above trophy events, a bonus points system has been instituted. This bonus points system is also used to determine who will represent NQGA in the annual Inter-Association Teams Event, and also to select A-A1-B & C grade players to represent NQGA in the annual North v South Teams Event within the Association.
In the Inter-Association Teams Event, the top four (4) ‘A’ grade placegetters in the Graham Roberts Trophy, who meet the selection criteria as outlined elsewhere in this Match Schedule, will be selected to represent the NQGA.
In the annual clash North v South, the top six (6) placegetters in the four trophy points grades from each Division, (North from Home Hill north and South from Bowen south), who meet the selection criteria as outlined elsewhere in this Match Schedule, will be selected to represent their respective Division’s for the annual event.
